Synopsis of When Life Gives You Tangerines
On Jeju Island in the 1950s, Oh Ae-sun is a poor young woman who dreams of becoming a poet and refuses to accept the fate that awaits her. Yang Gwan-sik, a boy with iron arms, has been by her side since childhood and keeps loving her despite the hardships that come their way. The series jumps back and forth between their childhood and adulthood, showing photographs of those days when they were always smiling, along with the stumbles life puts in their path. Their daughter, Yang Geum-myeong, narrates the story of her parents, a tale of adventure, trials, and love. Created by Im Sang-choon and Kim Won-seok, the production arrives on Netflix with IU and Park Bo-gum leading the cast.
