Courage Under Fire

Iraq War. After accidentally destroying one of his own tanks, Lt. Col. Nathan Serling (Denzel Washington) returns home. The Army covers up the incident and assigns Serling the mission of investigating Captain Karen Walden (Meg Ryan), a helicopter pilot who, posthumously, is about to become the first female war hero to receive the Medal of Honor for combat action. This was the first Hollywood film made about the First Gulf War.
