Robin Hood

England, 13th century. Robin Longstride, a magnificent archer serving King Richard the Lionheart, returns from the Crusades in the Holy Land, plundering villages while fighting French troops. When Richard dies under a French arrow, Robin travels to Nottingham to keep a promise he made to Sir Robert Loxley before he died: to return a sword to his father, Sir Walter Loxley. There he meets Lady Marion, Sir Robert's widow, a woman of strong character. Meanwhile, in a country weakened by a long war and ruled by John, a weak and ineffective king, battling internal rebellions and external threats engineered by the treacherous Godfrey, Robin and his men are swept into a greater adventure: they decide to help prevent the country from falling irreparably into a bloody civil war and to restore England's glory.
