Surrogates

Set in a futuristic world where humans live isolated lives while interacting with robots, a police officer (Willis) is forced to leave his home for the first time in years to investigate. It all begins when two FBI agents (Willis and Radha Mitchell) are assigned to investigate the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create the high-tech phenomenon of the replacements: perfect, good-looking, remote-controlled versions of themselves that people can buy. These perfect machines end up taking over their owners' daily lives, so people can experience life through someone else while comfortably sitting on their living room couch. The murder raises a question: in a world of masks, who is real and who can you trust?
