Stonehearst Asylum

An adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether." Sturgess plays a Harvard medical student who, in Poe's story, enters the asylum without realizing that the roles inside the institution have been reversed. In the film, he crosses paths with and falls in love with a young woman who is locked away under circumstances that are not what they seem.
