Trivia about Home Before Dark

According to reports, the 2016 deal with Paramount Television and Anonymous Content also included the life rights to Hilde.

Apple renewed the show before the first season aired, and Dana Fox described it as a "huge vote of confidence."

Filming of the second season was halted on March 13 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, during the shooting of the fourth episode.

Before it was called Home Before Dark, the show was known as Magic Hour, a title that ended up being used for the pilot episode.

The cinematography was handled by Alice Brooks, who shot with Panavision Millennium DXL2 digital cameras and custom Panavision G-Series anamorphic lenses.

Brooklynn Prince was tapped early on to play Hilde Lisko, but the production had to work through some obstacles before finalizing her casting.

To find the right family home, production designer Nelson Coates conducted an exhaustive search; the team then added shutters, plants and a garage to the exterior of the chosen house.

The second season consists of ten episodes and has been releasing weekly since June 11, 2021, with new episodes every Friday on Apple TV+.
