Synopsis of The Angry Beavers

Norbert and Daggett are two brother beavers who have just left the family home to fend for themselves in a forest near Wayouttatown, a fictional town in Oregon. Both want to prove they can manage without help, but every plan they improvise ends up more complicated than expected. Their misadventures bring out the worst temper in both of them, and clashes between them are part of daily life in the lodge. The series is an animated comedy created by Mitch Schauer and aired on Nickelodeon, with Nick Bakay voicing Norbert and Richard Steven Horvitz voicing Daggett.

Trivia about The Angry Beavers

Before creating the series, Mitch Schauer worked as a storyboard assistant on The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko's Modern Life and Hey Arnold!, and also drew the storyboards for 8 episodes of the 1992 series The Addams Family.
Mitch Schauer did not attend the meeting where his ideas were pitched to Nickelodeon, because production company Gunther-Wahl presented them on his behalf.
Schauer gave network production executive Mary Harrington a signed log that was supposedly chewed by a beaver, although in 2017 he admitted he had chewed it himself.
Gunther-Wahl auditioned more than 300 actors, but Schauer chose Richard Steven Horvitz and Nick Bakay because they embodied the characters perfectly and clicked well when they met.
Nickelodeon rejected a scene in which an airship crashes into the audience, but raised no objections to another scene in the same segment where out-of-control Zambonis run over a crowd.
The phrase "shut up" was initially censored in the "Alley Oops" segment, from 1998, according to writer Micah Wright, who attributed the decision to then-Nickelodeon president Herb Scannell.
The final segment the network canceled exists only as leaked storyboards and audio, and the audio was published by Richard Steven Horvitz, the voice of Daggett, in 2006.
In 2016, Mitch Schauer said his daughter Chelsea Schauer proposed the title "ReSpooted" for a possible revival of the series.
