Revenge takes many forms.

Two years after the Battle of Mission City, Sam Witwicky is getting ready to start college, while the NEST organization and the Autobots keep hunting the Decepticons still hiding on Earth. However, an ancient threat begins to resurface. During a mission in Shanghai, the Decepticon Demolishor leaves a warning: "The Fallen will return." Optimus Prime receives the message with concern, and the team realizes the danger has not gone away. Directed by Michael Bay and starring Shia LaBeouf, the film opens with a normal life that is soon threatened by a war that is coming back to knock on the door.

Trivia about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Lorenzo di Bonaventura estimated there were about forty robots in the film, while Scott Farrar of ILM insisted there were actually sixty.

Michael Bay said he hated the Dinobots and that they had never been under consideration for the films, even though Orci grew attached to them during the shoot.

Bay claimed he faked the leak of daily phone records from the first week of shooting, which supposedly revealed the casting of Ramón Rodríguez.

Neither the University of Pennsylvania nor Princeton allowed their names to be used in the film because of a scene in which Sam's mother eats brownies laced with marijuana.

The film took in 16 million dollars in Tuesday midnight screenings, a record for the biggest Wednesday midnight opening at the time.

Rendering the images in the high resolution of the IMAX format required up to 72 hours to generate a single frame of animation.

The film received three Razzie Awards, including Worst Picture and Worst Director, and became the highest-grossing production to win the top prize of those awards.
