Synopsis of Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers

Chip and Dale, two chipmunks with a nose for trouble, have opened a detective agency called Rescue Rangers. They are joined by their new friends Gadget, Monterey Jack and Zipper, and together they take on cases and crimes brought to them by clients, who are almost always anthropomorphic animals. The police consider these matters too small to bother with, so the team handles them. However, detective work isn't the only thing waiting for them, because they often have to face their personal archenemies, Fat Cat and the mad scientist Norton Nimnul. The series was created by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove and aired on The Disney Channel.

Trivia about Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers

Disney invested $28 million in the series, after having invested $20 million in DuckTales.
The first draft of the idea featured an Indiana Jones-style mouse named Kit Colby, who wore a fedora and a leather jacket with a fur collar.
Michael Eisner suggested replacing Kit with the chipmunk duo to give the series well-known Disney characters.
To give the voices a higher pitch, especially Chip's, the recordings were sped up using audio processing.
Dale's look is reminiscent of Thomas Magnum from Magnum, P.I., although it is not specifically based on him.
The theme song is sung by Jeff Pescetto, who also performed the DuckTales theme.
The series was nominated for 17 Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Animated Program category.
In January 1993, a kiddie roller coaster called Gadget's Go Coaster opened in Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland.
