Synopsis of My Adventures with Superman

In the city of Metropolis, Clark Kent works as a reporter at the Daily Planet while building his secret identity as Superman and trying to find out where he really comes from. Alongside him are Lois Lane, an ambitious reporter who aims to become a star journalist, and Jimmy Olsen, the newspaper's photographer and Clark's best friend. The three team up to uncover the stories that matter and, at the same time, stop the villains threatening the city. His path also crosses with Special Force X, a group that puts the hero to the test. Created by Jake Wyatt and aired on Adult Swim, the series stars Jack Quaid, Alice Lee and Ishmel Sahid.

Trivia about My Adventures with Superman

After the formation of DC Studios, the production team showed the opening sequence to James Gunn, who reportedly liked the series and allowed it to keep being produced without interference.
Superman's transformation sequence is inspired by Pretty Cure, specifically Cure Mermaid from Go! Princess PreCure.
Producer Josie Campbell acknowledged that the series draws on shounen anime and titles such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gurren Lagann and Shin Godzilla, according to Crunchyroll.
Campbell cited the 1978 Superman movie as a major influence on the series, especially the relationship between Margot Kidder's Lois and Christopher Reeve's Superman.
A spin-off series, My Adventures with Green Lantern, was announced, focusing on Jessica Cruz, a member of the Green Lantern Corps.
The second season was initially ordered for two seasons by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios, and production had already begun before the first season premiered, with part of the animation completed in July 2023.
The third season was renewed, but showrunner Jake Wyatt later said that a fourth season had not yet received official confirmation.
