Synopsis of Spider-Man

Peter Parker is a student at Empire State University who, after being bitten by a radioactive spider, discovers he has spider-like powers. With them, he becomes Spider-Man, a masked hero who fights crime in New York without giving up his personal life. He must divide his attention between Mary Jane Watson and Felicia Hardy, keep his friendship with Harry Osborn, and keep up with his studies as a student of Dr. Curt Connors. Meanwhile, his relationship with the press and Kingpin's mafia complicates his every move. Among the first enemies he faces is the Lizard. The series, created by Stan Lee, airs on Fox and Fox Kids and stars Christopher Daniel Barnes.

Trivia about Spider-Man

The theme song was written and performed by Joe Perry of Aerosmith, although it is sometimes credited to Levy and Saban.
With 65 episodes, it was for years the animated Spider-Man series with the most episodes, until Ultimate Spider-Man surpassed it with 104.
The scenes with the Pan Am Building were scrapped after they were finished, because the California team learned that the building had changed its sign more than a year earlier.
The decision that Spider-Man would not use his fists was Semper's own idea, as he himself admitted.
Semper considered the Japanese series Spider-Man (1978) to be the only earlier adaptation that had impressed him.
For years, the cancellation was blamed on clashes between Avi Arad and Margaret Loesch, but in 2021 Semper explained that New World Pictures had stopped operating and FOX did not want to take on the cost of producing more episodes.
In June 2025, Marvel announced a five-issue limited comic series titled "Spider-Man '94" written by J. M. DeMatteis, which picks up the story from the cliffhanger of the last episode.
