Synopsis of Endeavour
In 1960s Oxford, young Endeavour Morse, played by Shaun Evans, has spent two years as a uniformed officer and has just transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Carshall-Newtown. Tired of the job, he has started writing his resignation letter. Before he can hand it in, his superiors send him along with other detectives to Cowley police station in Oxford to help investigate the disappearance of a fifteen-year-old schoolgirl. Morse wants to leave the police, but the case forces him to rethink his future in a field that isn't his own. The series, created from the characters of Colin Dexter, airs on ITV.
