Synopsis of Amazing Stories

Amazing Stories is an anthology series created by Steven Spielberg, John Falsey and Joshua Brand that aired on NBC between 1985 and 1987. Each week it presents a new story in the vein of The Twilight Zone, with no common plot linking the episodes. The stories are set in Los Angeles, but they do not follow a fixed group of leads, as each episode tells a different story. The main cast includes Tom Willett, Douglas Seale, Gary Riley, Charles Durning, J.J. Cohen, Brad Bird, Joshua Rudoy and Larry Spinak. The show aims to blend fantasy, irony and humor in stories made for all audiences, with a weekly pace that surprises viewers with unexpected situations.
