Synopsis of Early Edition

Gary Hobson is a Chicago stockbroker whose life changes completely after an argument with his wife, who asks him to leave the house without explanation. Settling into a hotel in the city, he begins receiving a copy of the Chicago Sun-Times every morning, one day in advance, always accompanied by an orange tabby cat of unknown origin. The news in that paper describes accidents, crimes, and tragedies that have not yet happened. Gary decides to use this information to step in and keep people from getting hurt or dying. Played by Kyle Chandler, the lead must decide which tragedies deserve his attention and how to explain what he knows without others thinking he's crazy. Created by Ian Abrams, Patrick Q. Page, and Vik Rubenfeld, the series airs on CBS.
