Synopsis of Drawn Together

A house serves as the setting for a reality show that parodies programs such as Big Brother, The Real World and The Surreal Life. Its contestants are not people but characters taken from other cartoons, video games and even an internet flash animation. Locked together, they must live and interact with one another while the show records their every move. The series takes the form of a sitcom set on a reality TV show, and its characters retain their cartoon nature within that world as well. Each one exaggerates their personality to the extreme, and the forced cohabitation makes them constantly clash. It was created by Dave Jeser and Matthew Silverstein and airs on Comedy Central. The voice cast includes Adam Carolla, Jack Plotnick and Tara Strong.

Trivia about Drawn Together

Comedy Central promoted it as the first animated reality TV series, and in some episodes the characters take part in challenges similar to those on reality shows.
USA Today described the pilot episode as a provocative product born from Real World and Superfriends, and critics focused mainly on its brutality.
TV Guide included the series on its list of the 60 greatest animated cartoons of all time, published in 2013, despite the criticism it received at its premiere.
In March 2007, it was announced that the creators had left Comedy Central and, in 2009, they created DJ & the Fro for MTV, its sister channel.
The DVD includes a game of censored or uncensored. Getting at least 11 of the 19 questions right unlocks a prank phone call from the creators to their agent.
The song "Time of My Life" from "Dirty Pranking No. 2" could not be included on the first season DVD due to copyright issues.
The show was produced by Rough Draft Studios in Glendale, California, and much of the animation was done at its facilities in South Korea.
The direct-to-DVD movie was made with 6 Point Harness and was fully animated in Flash due to budget cuts.
