Synopsis of Full House

Danny Tanner is a San Francisco sports anchor who is left a widower and must raise his three young daughters on his own: D.J., Stephanie and Michelle. To help him care for the girls, he turns to his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis, a rock musician and brother of the late Pam, and to Joey Gladstone, a stand-up comedian and Danny's friend since childhood. The three men now share the family home, where each one contributes to the household's daily routine. The girls and the adults learn to get organized in a house that is no longer what it used to be. Created by Jeff Franklin and aired on ABC, the series features John Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier in its cast.

Trivia about Full House

Bob Saget was the producers' first choice to play Danny Tanner, but he couldn't appear in the pilot because of his commitment as a contributor to CBS's The Morning Program.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were chosen to alternate in the role of Michelle during filming, so both sisters played the character throughout the series.
The character played by John Stamos was originally named Jesse Cochran, but Stamos wanted him to better reflect his Greek heritage, so the last name became Katsopolis.
Dave Coulier sold Toys "R" Us the Mr. Woodchuck puppet he had made for the show.
Although the series is set in San Francisco, the only episode filmed in the city was the first episode of season eight, "Comet's Excellent Adventure."
The theme song, "Everywhere You Look," was performed by Jesse Frederick, who wrote it with Bennett Salvay and creator Jeff Franklin.
From the second season on, the show consistently ranked among Nielsen's top 30 most-watched programs, although it never won over critics.
ABC canceled the series in 1995 even though it was still among the 25 most-watched programs; the rising average cost per episode, estimated at $1.3 million, influenced the decision.
