Synopsis of Secret Invasion

Nick Fury returns to Earth after years away in deep space and teams up with Talos, a Skrull capable of changing shape, to uncover a conspiracy. Behind it is Gravik, leader of a group of renegade Skrulls who want to take control of the planet by posing as humans in different parts of the world. The story spans cities such as London, Moscow and New York, where the two must figure out who is who before the plan moves forward. Kyle Bradstreet created this miniseries for Disney+, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn, who reprise their roles from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story blends espionage and distrust against a backdrop of global threat.

Trivia about Secret Invasion

The opening title sequence was created with generative AI, which sparked heavy criticism online.

The series had a budget of $ 211.6 million, a high figure for a production that did not rely on big action sequences or extensive visual effects.

Ali Selim was set to direct three episodes, but Thomas Bezucha left the series due to scheduling conflicts, and Selim ended up directing all six.

The character Chris Stearns was inspired by TV host Tucker Carlson and the Fox News channel.

In February 2023, it was announced that Kris Bowers would compose the series' music and was already working on the score.

Filming in West Yorkshire included Leeds, Huddersfield and the Piece Hall in Halifax, between January 22 and January 31, 2022.

Samuel L. Jackson revealed that during filming some fans used drones to try to leak spoilers; the crew shot one down and tracked another until they located its operator.

Kingsley Ben-Adir adopted a Welsh accent to play Gravik and drew inspiration from the Caribbean community of Butetown in Cardiff, as well as its military tradition.
