Synopsis of Infinity Train

Tulip Olsen is a girl who doesn't fit in after her parents' recent divorce. A massive, seemingly endless train rumbles across a barren landscape in a parallel universe. It appears suddenly, breaking through reality, and picks up passengers with unresolved emotional problems to take them to another dimension. Tulip travels with One-One, a small, disoriented robot, and Atticus, the ruler of a kingdom of talking corgis. Each car hides extravagant and strange worlds, and passengers move on to the next one by overcoming challenges that help them face their trauma. A glowing number in their hand shows how many are left. The series was created by Owen Dennis for Cartoon Network and also streams on HBO Max.

Trivia about Infinity Train

Owen Dennis came up with the idea in 2010 while he was thinking about a movie. He was inspired by the feeling of waking up in an unsettling space during a flight home from China.

Owen Dennis describes the series as "Saw for kids," because each season is essentially a moral play built around contraptions designed to help people overcome personal problems.

Shortly after the pilot of 2016 premiered, a petition calling for a green light for the series gathered more than 57,000 signatures.

According to Parrot Analytics, in September 2020, audience demand for the series was 21.3 times that of an average TV series in the United States during its first 30 days.

Observer Media reported that, since its launch in May 2020, the series has been HBO Max's fourth most-watched original series.

The first book, titled The Perennial Child in English, was nominated at the 47th Annie Awards in the category of Best Special Production.

Owen Dennis had prepared a script for a spin-off movie that would have taken place alongside the fourth season and filled in some gaps in its story, but the project was canceled before it could be produced.

In August 2022, "Infinity Train" was removed from HBO Max along with 36 other series due to a decision by Warner Bros. Discovery; Dennis said the cancellation and removal were not communicated to the team in advance.
