Arde Madrid

Madrid, 1960s. American actress Ava Gardner lives in the capital during Franco’s Spain, surrounded by an elite of artists, aristocrats and foreigners who enjoy parties, whisky and rock and roll. The story is told from the perspective of their domestic staff. Ana Mari, an instructor with the Sección Femenina, is assigned to take a job as a maid in the actress’s house with one goal: to spy on her on the regime’s orders. To do so, she must pose as the wife of Manolo, a hustler who becomes Gardner’s chauffeur. Working alongside them is young maid Pilar. Created by Paco León and Anna R. Costa, the series airs on Movistar+ and stars León e Inma Cuesta.
