Synopsis of Johnny Bravo

Johnny Bravo is a muscular, boastful, and not-so-bright young man who wears sunglasses, sports a blond pompadour, and has a voice that imitates Elvis Presley. He lives in the fictional city of Aron City with his mother, Bunny "Momma" Bravo, who indulges his every whim. His big obsession is winning over any woman who crosses his path, and to do so he relies on exaggerated poses and a self-confidence nobody else shares. Each story kicks off with a plan to land a date, but his egotism and clumsiness usually end in rejection and all kinds of mishaps. The series, created by Van Partible and aired on Cartoon Network, thrives on the contrast between its hero's confidence and the jams he keeps getting into. The character is voiced by Jeff Bennett.

Trivia about Johnny Bravo

Before the series, Van Partible produced Mess O' Blues (1993) as his thesis at Loyola Marymount University, a short film about an impersonator of Elvis Presley.
The main character's name was taken from the birth name of its creator, Efrem Giovanni Bravo Partible.
Viewers voted Johnny Bravo as 1997's favorite "toon," ahead of other shorts from World Premiere Toons.
Johnny Bravo was Cartoon Network's most-watched show in 1999, with a 2.2 household rating and 4.4 among kids aged 6 to 11.
After the series ended, Kellogg's Chevrolet number 5 carried Johnny Bravo on its hood and was driven by Kyle Busch in the Sharpie 500 at 2005.
In the JBVO block, a viewer asked for an episode of Dragon Ball Z, and Johnny had to move it up, air nearly all of it, and comment on it briefly.
Production of "Johnny Bravo" was set to begin on January 17, 1994, but the Northridge earthquake damaged the Hanna-Barbera facilities and delayed the start until the following week.
After the first season, Van Partible was fired during Turner's acquisition by Warner Bros.; Kirk Tingblad directed a revamp that changed the visual style, the tone, and several characters before Partible returned for the fourth season.
