Synopsis of Royal Pains

Hank Lawson is a New York emergency room doctor whose career collapses after he is unfairly blamed for the death of a prominent patient. To start over, he moves to The Hamptons, the area where the wealthy spend their summer vacations, joined by his brother Evan, an accountant who sees the situation as a chance to break into the local social scene. During a weekend there, Hank saves a man's life, and suddenly the wealthy community wants to hire him as their personal doctor. Hank is reluctant to become the doctor to the rich. Jill Casey, the administrator of the local hospital, asks him to also care for those who are less fortunate. Hank is caught between doing good for himself and doing good for others.
