Synopsis of Star Trek: Enterprise

The crew of the NX-01, the first Earth ship capable of warp five travel, explores deep space in the mid-22nd century. Its members are the first Starfleet explorers to venture beyond known territories, with technology less advanced than that of the ships that come later. Captain Jonathan Archer, played by Scott Bakula, leads a crew that must learn to deal with alien species humanity barely knows. The story begins with a specific mistrust: since first contact, the Vulcans have withheld advanced technology, convinced that humans are not yet ready to use it. Created by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, the series aired on UPN.

Trivia about Star Trek: Enterprise

Studio executives rejected the idea that the first season would take place almost entirely on Earth, and those elements were limited to the pilot, "Broken Bow."
Some British media outlets mistook the announcement of Bakula's casting for a replacement for Patrick Stewart.
Dennis McCarthy, who composed the music for the pilot, had won an Emmy for his work on the Voyager episode "Heroes and Demons."
Starting with "Exile" in the middle of the third season, the show was broadcast in 1080i high definition, alongside Jake 2.0, one of the first two UPN series to do so.
Until the start of the fourth season, the show was shot on 35 mm traditional film before switching to a Sony digital camera.
Stages 8 and 9 had already housed sets from the franchise, but the 18 studio had never been used for a Star Trek series or film.
The cancellation was announced on February 3, 2005, during the sixth day of filming "In a Mirror, Darkly," when the cast and crew had already begun producing that episode.
"Star Trek: Enterprise" won four Creative Arts Emmy Awards over its four seasons, for visual effects, hairstyling, and music composition, among other categories.
