Synopsis of Beverly Hills, 90210

Twins Brandon and Brenda Walsh move with their parents from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Beverly Hills, California, after Jim lands a promotion at work. They go from a cold region to a wealthy, luxurious community in Los Angeles, and the culture shock they experience is the starting point of the series. At West Beverly Hills High School, they meet a group of classmates, including Kelly Taylor, Steve Sanders, Andrea Zuckerman, Donna Martin, and the loner Dylan McKay, and begin to form relationships with them. Darren Star created the series, Aaron Spelling produced it, and it airs on FOX. Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, and Luke Perry are part of the main cast.

Trivia about Beverly Hills, 90210

Torand Productions, used for several seasons, takes its name from the first letters of Aaron Spelling's first two children, Tori and Randy.

The pilot was shot in March and April of 1990 under the working title Doing Time in Beverly Hills, which was later changed to another temporary title: Class of Beverly Hills.

Tori Spelling auditioned as Tori Mitchell, hoping for the role of Kelly Taylor, but she was recognized and ended up with the role of Donna Martin.

Jennie Garth had to audition five times for the role of Kelly Taylor and was the first actress chosen for the series.

West Beverly High School was filmed at Torrance High School, located in the middle-class community of Torrance.

When the Peach Pit was redesigned in season two, the restaurant's exterior was filmed at the Rose City Diner in Pasadena.

The spin-off "Melrose Place" grew out of an episode of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and featured four actors from the original series in its first episode: Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, and Ian Ziering.

In 2019, FOX aired "BH90210," a six-episode continuation in which several original cast members played fictionalized versions of themselves. The network canceled the series after that first season.
