Trivia about Tru Calling
In Spain it first aired in 2005 on the FOX cable channel. In the summer of 2006 it moved to Antena 3, and later to its secondary channel, Neox, with several reruns.
The title is a play on words: it sounds the same as "true calling," meaning an authentic vocation, alluding to the protagonist's power.
Although Fox favored Point Pleasant, Tru Calling drew a higher audience rating than that other series when it was rerun in April 2005.
In Russia it was adapted under the title Я отменяю смерть, translated into English as I Revoke the Death, and it premiered on TV-3 on October 9, 2012.
The trailers for the first episode featured "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence, in one of its two versions.
Jensen Ackles initially turned down a role in "Tru Calling" to play Jason Teague in "Smallville," but the writers kept his name when they created a character for the series.
FOX cut the second-season order from 13 to 6 episodes during the filming of the sixth episode and informed the cast and crew of the cancellation on the last day of shooting.
